Big Second Inning Leads Champlain Mariners Past Franklin County Bandits

Champlain Mariners defeated Franklin County Bandits 13-0 on Wednesday at 890 Fairfax Rd, St Albans City, VT 05478 thanks in part to seven runs in the second inning. Fragola singled, scoring two runs, Bushey singled, scoring one run, Elderton singled, scoring one run, Broullette doubled, scoring two runs, and Poland singled, scoring one run.

Champlain Mariners got on the board in the first inning after Broullette hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Champlain Mariners added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when Willoughby doubled, scoring two runs, Fragola drew a walk, scoring one run, and Elderton hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Goodrich earned the win for Champlain Mariners. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking none.
