Champlain Mariners at Browns River Diamondbacks

Browns River Diamondbacks snatched the lead late in their 4-3 victory over Champlain Mariners on Thursday. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run.

Champlain Mariners were the first to get on the board in the first when Elderton doubled, scoring two runs.

A single by Willoughby extended the Champlain Mariners lead to 3-0 in the top of the third inning.

Browns River Diamondbacks jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning after Hauser homered to center field, Parker singled to center field, Steinman tripled down the right field line, and Champlain Mariners committed an error, each scoring one run.

Tringe earned the win for Browns River Diamondbacks. The reliever surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Safer took the loss for Champlain Mariners. The hurler went five and two-thirds innings, surrendering four runs (three earned) on eight hits, striking out four and walking one. DeCastro stepped on the bump first for Browns River Diamondbacks. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and three runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking four. Donahue appeared in relief for Browns River Diamondbacks.
