Goodrich Leads Champlain Mariners Past Franklin County Bandits

Goodrich struck out 10 batters as the right-handed pitcher led Champlain Mariners past Franklin County Bandits 4-2 on Saturday at Champlain Valley Union High School. Goodrich surrendered seven hits and two runs over six and two-thirds innings while walking two.

Champlain Mariners got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Elderton singled, scoring one run, Willoughby tripled, scoring two runs, and Goodrich grounded out, scoring one run.

Franklin County Bandits scored one run in the top of the fourth on a solo home run to left field by Yates on the seventh pitch of the at-bat.
