Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Vermont Black Sox Victory Over Williston Wolfpack

It came down to the wire on Wednesday at 1000 Dorset St, South Burlington, VT 05403, as Vermont Black Sox grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 4-3, over Williston Wolfpack. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the ninth when an error scored one run.

Canty struck out 10 batters on the day. The starting pitcher also surrendered eight hits and three runs over six innings while walking two.

A double by Sacks put Vermont Black Sox on the board in the bottom of the first.

Williston Wolfpack took the lead, 3-1, in the top of the fourth thanks to singles by Galipeau, and Tufano.

Canty hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Vermont Black Sox tie the game at three in the bottom of the fifth.

Dickerson earned the win for Vermont Black Sox. The pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Jones stepped on the bump first for Williston Wolfpack. The hurler surrendered four hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking two.

Canty and Sacks were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Vermont Black Sox. Burt led Vermont Black Sox with three hits in four at bats. Vermont Black Sox turned two double plays in the game.

Williston Wolfpack collected 10 hits in the game. Tufano, the number seven hitter for Williston Wolfpack, led the way with two runs batted in. The catcher went 1-for-4 on the day. Muzzy, Darling, and Ovitt each collected two hits for Williston Wolfpack. Williston Wolfpack turned two double plays in the game.
