The Green Mountain Baseball League

The Green Mountain Baseball League is a locally run, Vermont wooden bat baseball league for players 18 and over. The 2010 season features seven teams. This year, in addition to the defending champion South Burlington Blacksox, we have the Burlington Brewers, Shelburne Giants, Middlebury Red Sox, Barre Braves, Vergennes and the newly formed South Burlington Expos.

The Green Mountain League provides a great opportunity for adults 18 and over to continue playing ball after high school and college. The league is home to a variety of playing abilities, from previous high school players to past and current college players, and ex-professional players. Our league is focused on sportsmanship, respect and dedication to the game of baseball.

Our schedule includes 22 regular season games, typically double-headers on Sundays and a few weeknight games. Playoffs begin in early August and end with the crowning of the new league champion. We also have a yearly all-star game, where we can showcase the outstanding players from across the league. The 2010 game will be played across the lake this year on July 10th in Plattsburgh.
